It was very convenient to work with a company over the phone and online. However, I think with the lack of face-to-face communication there is a lack of accountability to the digital customer. There were so many mistakes with our loan!! I think they would have been avoided if someone had to look us in the eye and shake our hand at the end of the whole process...

They have the best rate. And no lender fees as they promised. The whole process went smoothly, and we closed in 28 days. Stephen was professional, responsive and patient. He was willing to help and make sure we were happy. Glad I chose this lender and happy with my loan officer’s services.

As a business owner, with consistent income for more than ten years, the application process was a total nightmare. The loan processor had a completely disorganized way of requesting documents and tracking the documents received. There was no way for me to view what I had already sent her. She requested documents last second which had already been sent to her, causing a delay in our closing. She used industry abbreviations when asking for documents (ie “LOX”), assuming I would know what that was. It was a horrific experience. My loan officer was helpful, but waited until I asked for help to get involved, and after I was at my wit’s end. I had a phone conversation with the loan processor, which was probably the least professional phone call I’ve ever experienced when dealing with any financial institution. One time during the conversation she even told me I wasn’t listening, as if she was speaking to a child. There was absolutely no respect. I wasn’t treated as an adult. I’d absolutely never go with this lender ever again. I hate to say that because I like the loan officer. But, in all candor, I would never refer anyone nor do business myself with Home Loans Today again.

I had a great experience with Stephen Mullin, he helped us through two difficult loan applications and got us approved quickly and at the best rates, he was top notch. But I will literally never do another loan with Home Loans today because of your processor Bonnie Pater. Bonnie purposefully avoided direct questions and expressed an attitude of haughtiness and disdain for me. It shocked me since I think of myself as type A and had limited interaction with her but to get her the documents she requested quickly and succinctly. She disparaged my real estate agent, suggested I get a lawyer to explain when I asked simple questions, and spent as much time as possible talking about how experienced and knowledgeable she was when I finally called to get direct answer. She was a waste of my time and made things more difficult in what was already be a difficult deal. I thought maybe it was just me, but at closing, the title company representative mentioned the "*****y" attitude of the closing dept at Home Loans Today and how she couldn't get questions answered without a demeaning reply or the run around. It felt a little better to hear it wasn't just me, but it made me realize your processing/closing dept has a problem and I don't want to interact with them again.
