Awful experience almost the entire time. Except to have to harass Jim to return any calls or emails. They will throw new requirements for the loan right up to closing day despite telling you everything is approved. You are going to be frustrated working with Stephanie and Jim.

Mal, Stephanie, and Audra got us through the process within 2 months. Stephanie and Audra were very clear to explain the documents, their request and confirm when they received what they needed. They were extremely responsive and efficient in the process. Mal made it very clear in each conversation he was working with multiple buyers and then the end of the year was busy for him. During the process, he often mixed us up with other buyers and missed key details in the documentation. We were scheduled to close within 30 days of the process beginning, however one week prior to closing, we were informed that our current home needed to be sold before we could close. As a result of this oversight, our closing was pushed back by a month, impacting our families holiday plans. After this error was made, we never heard from Mal again via email or phone. In the future, it may be best to acquire assistance when there is anticipated increase in loan activity. We were often confused with other buyers, incorrect email addresses on personal documents that included financial and personal information. Throughout the process we experienced my husband's last name being spelled incorrectly up to the actual moment we sat down at the closing table. This clerical error delayed the law firm from proceeding with the closing by about 30 minutes to wait for corrections. This was an error we brought to the attention of numerous people one month prior when we began the buying process. Our purchase experience was not just another "deal" to us.

As first time homebuyers, we were very nervous about buying a house. Mrs. Megan not only made us feel comfortable, but she made sure she explained things to us in terms we understood. She was very detailed oriented with everything about the loan process. My fiancée and I would have to call Mrs. Megan at different times due to our busy schedules and she was always available to both of us. Mrs. Megan and her Team were always there to answer any questions we had during this process. She went above and beyond for us and we would choose her again. We recommend her to all of our friends and family.

She’s a liar. She knew my number one concern and issue was not being on the deed of the house. I lost all trust in her when she told me that the VA does not allow non married couples to be on a loan together when that is false. After I did research I realized she lied. Then she told me that I could be added to the deed after we closed on the house. That turned out to be another lie. So now I have a house that my name doesn’t get to be on because I’m not married all due to me listening to her and her lies.
She also continued to never give us the real break down with how she came up with the numbers and fees. On the day of closing we received a check but she never provided us anything showing how she came up with the amount that we got back and we feel like there is more money owed to us due to her not provided us with anything showing how she calculated the fee

From start to finish, I was able to sit back and enjoy the ride. It would be hard to pick the best moment out of this experience. I thank everyone that help me. I hope the next person will get treated as well as I did.

Received email at 715 pm saying I need to wire $4000 more before closing at 11 am the next morning. Which was wrong. After signing at lawyers office had to wait additional 3 hours because mortgage company didn’t have paperwork in order to release the keys.

Mal McLean was my loan officer. I could not have asked for a better loan officer. He was knowledgeable, diligent, and more Importantly kept me informed at every stage of the process. I would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of an outstanding loan officer.

Great working with kerwin. Communication was not the best at times but he worked with us to get us to our final numbers we wanted.
