John began his career in the finance industry 8 years ago at Bank of America as a loan processor in the first mortgage department.  He was awarded the Most Valuable Employee for 2 consecutive years in both the First Mortgage Department as well as the HELOC department.   He was promoted as a trainer, travelling around the nation to train and develop new employees, and was promoted to management. John later became the nationwide Top Producer in the underwriting department, where he spent most of his mortgage career. His background gives him understanding of the overall mortgage process as well as the detailed review of the underwriting and decisioning portion which enables him to guide each borrower through the loan process more efficiently, being available to answer more in-depth questions about documentation and common factors that are involved in decisioning a loan. When John is not working with clients, he is most likely kicking around a soccer ball or hitting a home run on the baseball field.  He also enjoys screen-writing and in another lifetime he would be a film-maker.

I think that the officer could have used the telephone more effectively than email. And, if he used the phone, more, he would have been able to explain the process, much better.
