Leonardo is the best lender. It was a little rough in the beginning but we finally got to closing. I would recommend anyone to him. He answers all the questions in a timely manner and helps you fully understand.

There was a lot of back and forth on documents that needed to be submitted multiple times. There were too many people handling the file and a lot of confusion. I am a strong willed person and eventually everything worked out as it should have. I know that some things are out of our control, but the lack of communication on important deadlines was unacceptable. I also had to call a lot instead of receiving calls. This was an experience to say the least. Just be prepared for anything and if it is meant to be, it will be.

I recommend you take your business/money elsewhere if you intend to have a comforting and informative loan experience. Communication and structure was HORRIBLE. Leonardo, who is the loan officer only cares about your money and nothing else. I sent him direct emails several times requesting information regarding my loan and he NEVER responded. One of his employees, Shaun Greene, was assigned to handle my loan. Although Shaun was available and helpful, he could not answer questions about the breakdown of my loan. He informed me that he’s not allowed to discuss interest rates and what not and that I have to speak to Leonardo about it. For the full year I waited for my home to be built, I was only able to speak with Leonardo ONCE!!! That one day was the very first day that I became involved with FBC.. After that first day, literally a full 365+ days went by where I was unsuccessful in contacting Leonardo. I sent him emails and left him voice messages. After a while, his voicemail became full and stayed full forever.. With this being my first home purchase, it was very bitter sweet because much of my joy was depleted by FBC mortgage. I really wish I would of taken my business else where. Once I finally recieved a closing date, I found out the morning of the closing that my closing would be pushed back 4 additional days because FBC failed to complete the final appraisal in time. Let this be a warning to all who are considering trusting Leonardo and FBC with one of the biggest purchases of your life. Find a different mortgage company who cares and is available for you.

Lenardo is absolutely awesome. He answered all of our questions, was extremely patient and attentive to all of our needs. He went above and beyond to help us with everything that was needed. and requested. Our purchase was possible because of Lenardo and FBC Mortgage. I would definitely recommend Lenardo and FBC Mortgage to everyone we know that's looking to purchase a home.

At the end of the process I feel disappointed, to start with, in the first 6 weeks the advance was null, the process started on the seventh week. The closing part was the worst part, zero communication between the closing staff and the lender, the closing staff said something and the lender another. Finally, the funds were transferred a week later and they charge me the extra interest. I know the closing part is a separate thing from the lender, but the lender choose them not me. Probably I would recommend the lender, but not the closing guys. (Kimbrough law)
