I found Kathy to be a very personable and professional loan officer. This was our first time purchasing a home and being new to the situation, she really took a lot of time to explain the process step by step. Whenever we didn't understand something, she was really patient in helping us get to a better understanding. When the initial application was submitted, I was thinking that it would take a couple of days to a couple of weeks to get an approval. I had an approval the same day! I work odd hours so I wasn't the fastest at getting all required documents in right away. Kathy was very patient. I appreciate her tenacity in helping us getting this pushed through. She is A-1 and also has a great sense of humor!

Kathy made our first home buying experience a great one. She walked us through each step of the process by explaining what we needed to do and the reason behind it. Getting a home loan can be tedious, but teaching us about it along the way really helped. Any time we needed a quick answer to a question, she would respond with a call, text or email. Kathy Clay came very highly recommended. However, getting the correct paper work in hand to be signed was extremely difficult. Thanks to my Realtor the papers were done on time. Our closing date was 06/27/16 and I took this day off work, I was told due to the busy season closing had to be pushed out a week, because I see patients I was not able to fill my schedule. I took another day off work and found out afterwards the papers had not even been turned into USDA until the 27th and had to miss another day. I'm sure the papers were just lost or Kathy had forgotten. I am very glad the seller did not back out of the deal and that we had family who we could stay with for 10 days while waiting to close. The result was 3 days taken off work, moving 3 times and a lot of unnecessary stress.
