Great experience up until it was time to lock in the interest rate. Was supposed to have been done on Friday bfo 3 day w/end (Presidents Day) - did not hear anything until the next Tuesday when I was informed "rates had gone crazy" and the "rate desk" had closed virtually in panic. Received a message a couple of hours later that 3.375 was available - that I should take it because rates could do anything. My discount with no points was around $1K but before that could be locked in dropped to $300+/-. My rate should have been locked in on the Friday prior at the 2.99% used on the loan estimate sheet - the rest of the experience felt like a "hard sell" right before you close your loan. I rarely complain but this was very unsatisfactory to me. I will stick with my own lender next time.
