Dean Longway is listed as my Loan Officer, yet I didn't have 1 interaction with him. My actual loan officer (Tony Hernandez) was extremely hard to get ahold of until I had to have a blunt conversation regarding the lack of communication. My loan Processor, Cassie hilton was as helpful as she could have been once I addressed the fact that items weren't being cleared from the "simpleloan" portal so I could see what actually needed to be done. The underwriters complete incompetence caused me to have to resend items multiple times and Ultimately caused my closing to be pushed back. In fact imy VA loan almost didn't happen until I requested to speak with a Senior Manager to explain why the underwriter didn't understand what they were looking at. The Senior Manager I spoke with was Pamela Johnson...and she was a life saver!! After being able to explain to her the information the loan officer was having issues with regarding how the VA process works with newly retired vets, she was able to help save the entire loan approval!

James Peterson was a nice man but clearly not in the right position. In over his head. Jeff Schneider was a condescending you know what. Dean Longway does not return calls or emails the same as the title company. If I knew then what I know now I would have gladly my own closing cost. The money saved was not worth the experience.

I'm grateful this process is now over. FBC should make sure the builders they work with and their own loan officers are more upfront with the loan process especially the incentives they offer when being a preferred lender.

At first with Jennifer the calls were infrequent. But once Devi helped it all improved. Sucks that they could pay all closing cost. We had to pay over $8000. When we were told by sales person at Maronda homes that their mortgage company would pay closing cost. I will say FBC Mortgage was always ready and efficient, and worked very well with Title company.

I found that my loan officer and company were very meticulous when dealing with my loan process. They were always very professional and time oriented. Anytime I had a question or concern, I could either call my loan officer directly or email him and he would get back to within a timely manner. He always made sure I was up to date on where I was and that I understand everything that was going on.
