FBC was very informative, and I felt they handle my personal information with confident and security, for a first time buyer it felt the process time was way too long, (48 days!!) Other than that we had a good experience with FBC mortgage. We"ll use them again in the future.

I only closed because I had no other option. Very little comprehension of foreign national financing, I almost did not close. As a foreigner I had to postpone my trip back to my country several times because FBC assigned my loan to a small bank who had absolutely no experience with foreign nationals, which resulted in a complete mess. My attorney even heard from the CEO of the assignee that his client misinformed him which is unacceptable and completely due to the lack of coordination from FBC. I had 5/1 and they obliged me into a 2/1 because of the miscommunication with the assignee and because of the lack of experience of the assignee. I only accepted to close otherwise I would be subject to penalties or loss of the property with builder. Loan took 5 months to be structured, almost lost the deal.

Ms. Santana was very polite and always attended our calls and emails. We had issues because we were interested in the county assistance for first time home buyers. From the beginning, we stated our interest in such program. It wasn't until we had put an offer on a house that we were told that we didn't qualify for the assistance because the DPA officials calculate the income in a completely irrational way. We continued with the process to buy the property, then close to the closing date we were required to present multiple documents that could've been required earlier on. We did not receive our final statement for closing until 4:30 pm the day before closing.
