I worked with Chris Austin from Jet Home Loans. Chris was personable and always responsive. Anytime I had questions, Chris got back to me immediately with an answer. Chris really became my point of contact - even moreso than my builder due to his quick & accurate communication with me throughout the building process. Most importantly, there were no “surprises” with a Chris (I.e. I never got blindsided with mis-information or costs - as I did with my builder).. Chris was a complete professional; he was competent, accurate, and transparent. I am very grateful for his help during this very stressful building process. Pamela McAfee was equally responsive and helpful.

*My experience with Jet Homelones was problem free. Submitting my document was easy and convenient. *my loan officer and his team were kind to accept emailed document from me when I had some difficulty uploading docs via website. I truly did not had any real difficulty through the entire process. I was well informed and updated during each phase. I love the video that is sent to explain each phase requirement and expectations. They protected my interest form the binging to the last second of closing. they made sure every littlie credit from my builder went through the compliance team , calculated and add to the CD.

Chris and the rest of the team were very nice, professional, and prompt at getting back with me. In that regard, they have great customer service. However, the one (huge) issue I had was my rate was locked considerably higher than what competitive rates were at that time, and I was never told that their was no float down option, or that when the rate was locked it wouldn't be able to be lowered should the rates get better before closing. That is something that really upset me and I strongly feel that should be told to clients before they agree to lock in. I've shopped around as I look to refinance and it's the general consensus that my rate is FAR from competitive. Look, I understand that Jet's primary business is from DreamFinders so the sales agents have an incentive to use them by scaring new buyers of the high closing costs etc, and that when you have a captive audience like that you've go to make up the capital by rolling those fees into the cost of loan and that comes with a 10-20 basis point raise, but when considering my credit, down payment, and loan type my rate is basically sub prime.

THANK YOU Jet HomeLoans! I started the process of trying to buy a home in January 2020 and came across the Tuscarora Creek neighborhood and fell in love with the homes. After speaking with the agent, he gave me the contact information for Jet HomeLoans. From the start Chris Austin was a pleasure to work with! He answered my questions in a timely manner and worked with me every step of the way. Sheri Bojko was also extremely helpful and worked very hard to process my application. The team at Jet HomeLoans should be commended for their level of expertise, attention to detail and customer service. Because of you all, my family and I are enjoying our dream home. THANK YOU!

I can't thank enough to Chris Austin, Amanda Solari, and the entire Jet Home Loan Team for taking such good care to make it to the final. Even though has been hard and so many requests and a long time to process and change of loan type, Chris found a way to make it happen and happen on time before it was too late. He did not give up and neither did the team. Thank you Chris personally and the entire team working on the Jet home loan. Documentation online site was easy to navigate and easy to sign. I would love to recommend Jet Home Loan and Chris Austin to anyone who wants their dream to come true reality

The whole process from beginning to end of our loan was extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. We were told we "had to go with" Jet Home loans in order to purchase our home through Dream finders even though we were already approved and working with another lender. Our loan officer Chris Austin was nice and very knowledgeable in the beginning and told us we could contact him at anytime with questions. When we did call or text him he was always busy at his son's soccer game or was not in the office. We would have to wait several days for him to get back to us and that was after multiple phone calls and text messages inquiring about answers. It got to the point that the information Chris was giving us was either contradicting or out right incorrect that we had to have our realtor ask questions for us to get any kind of direction. There were times where we had to send him the same documents over and over again because he either forgot about them or lost them. Our realtor had to send documents over 4 times to him to get him to apply our credits correctly to our loan. Our final closing documents that were sent to us 3 times (all with different dollar amounts) were all incorrect and then he tried to tell us we were paying more to close from documents that we did not sign or even see. It took me cursing him out through text to get answers on whether or not we were cleared to close and what the exact dollar amount we needed to wire less than 24 hours from the closing date and time. He never included me in the text conversations he had with my husband, and never updated us on the progress of our loan, we had to stay on top of him every step of the way. My husband and I were on the loan together but the only time I spoke with Chris was in the very beginning when we were introduced to him and on the last day when I cursed him out in order to get some clear answers from him on closing. Chris is extremely disorganized and a poor communicator with potential homebuyers in turn causing unnecessary stress and confusion. If it weren't for me keeping on top of him and sending in the required documents multiple times, we would not have closed because Chris did not review anything until 2 days prior to closing and then when he did, he had questions from our bank statements which could have been answered 6 months prior instead of 48 hrs from closing and our loan being sent back to underwriting where his manager had to get involved. I have done this process before but my husband had not, so he had a lot of questions and without my prior knowledge of home loans, we would have lost our house and it would have been due to Chris's lack of organization and competence in what he was responsible for and making sure his buyers understood everything.
